MULTI SKILL TRAINING CENTRE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY


Mthetana Trading and Construction T/A Multi Skill Training Centre (MSTC) was established in 2008, to empower the citizens of South Africa by equipping them with skills. MSTC is accredited by QCTO and Merseta endorsed by Chieta and Services Seta as Skills Development Provider and Trade Test Centre. MSTC is Level 1 BBBEE ratings. MSTC believes in Training and Education can be a vehicle for the unemployed and unskilled youth to acquire and create employment opportunities. One of our priorities is to facilitate skills training programmes that are geared towards closing the skills gap especially in rural areas. There’s a shortage of critical technical skills such in Engineering and Construction trades.

MSTC offers a range of technical training courses for various Trades. Multi
Skill Training Centre Head Offices and Workshops are situated in Durban and we have set up satellites branches where we provide the technical training. MSTC has successfully completed the Skills Training Programme in Kwa Zulu Natal, Limpompo, Mpumalanga and Currently setting up a Branch in Eastern Cape through our Mobile Training Techniques. We’ve provided our communities with scarce and critical technical skills in line with various national and regional socio-economic developments.

MSTC is primarily geared to train Learnership, Apprenticeship, Skills
Programs, Short Courses, Trade Test Preparation and Trade Testing in the
Electrical, Fitting, Millwright, Welding, PLC, AC and DC Drives and Automation Designs. Durban and Eastern Cape branches will offer Construction Trade such as Plumbing, Bricklaying, Plastering and Carpentry. MSTC has managed to create a pool of Network with Industrial Companies, Construction Companies, Government Department and Municipalites e.g. Transnet, Nampak, Terex, Oleo Chemical Industries, Cipla, Kalmar, Amcor, uMgungundlovu District, Zululand District, Ugu District, Ethekwini Municipality, Abaqulusi Municipality, KSD Municipality etc. Learners are given an Industrial and Construction exposure to increase job opportunities. All MSTC training programmes are provided by relevant Seta’s. Learnership, Apprenticeship Training Schedules and Tech AV DVD’s are aligned to industrial and construction standards. Tools and equipment conform to current industrial and construction operational methods and techniques. Our educators are all qualified artisans registered assessors and experienced in their field of expertise.

Current courses offered by MSTC cater for Maintenance and Production
workers, Construction electricians, Assistants/Aides, Semi-skilled workers,
Apprentices, Artisans, and Pupil Engineers. Students normally attend specific courses, however, for groups courses can be tailor-made to suit different company/candidate needs. Our approach is flexible. The primary purpose and focus of training and assessments at MSTC is to provide a service in partnership with Industry and Government to uplift the level of skills in the workforce.

  • Apprentice Recruitment selection (utilizing various assessments methods).
  • Skill Trainability Assessments on behalf of potential employees.
  • Assistance with Training Needs Analysis.
  • Assistance with Workplace Skills Plan.
